I’ve found a very interesting survey which presents the most used ASP.NET Ajax frameworks. The results can be found here. It seems that jquery and ASP.NET Ajax are the most used ajax frameworks.
The 4th place is taken by Telerik – which becomes the most commercial ajax framework used. This proves that indeed the guys from Telerik are good. I wonder how the statistics would look like if jquery and ASP.NET ajax were not free
